‘The Southwick, Fishersgate and Kingston by Sea Allotment Holders and Gardeners' Society' was formed during the First World War. Now called Southwick and Fishersgate Horticultural Society, it has always had a good number of members and is a keen participant in all the activities at Southwick Community Centre. The Society is affiliated, not only to the Community Centre, but also to The Royal Horticultural Society; The National Dahlia Society; The Royal National Rose Society; The National Chrysanthemum Society and The British Gladiolus Society. So, all in all, we have a considerable amount of expertise to call on when required. We have been an active society for over 90 years…to continue to serve the local community with our extensive knowledge about gardening and related topics, plus events such as the fantastic flower shows, we need more members and helpers!

We hope these gallery pages will show you the range of activities we involve ourselves with, then hopefully you can come and join us - whether as a member or a visitor you'd be most welcome!
